Leading drone manufacturer kicks off 2016 with two new models, and big savings on their most popular UAS platforms.

Drone titan DJI announced a few minor changes to their existing product lines that will affect the popular Phantom 3 and Inspire 1 UAV models, along with remarkable price reductions for their Phantom 3 Standard and Advanced platforms.

A new Phantom 3 4K model offers 4K video recording but without DJI's Lightbridge video streaming technology, opting for a wifi downlink for receiving live image playback. This change offers less range than the company's flagship Phantom 3 Professional drone, but with the same video and still image capture capabilities.

DJI's popular Inspire platform received the addition of the Inspire 1 Black, essentially an Inspire 1 Pro drone, with the newer X5 (Micro Four Thirds) camera, wrapped in black hardware rather than the model's historic white design.

More important to most UAS operators, was DJI's decision to release their popular Phantom 3 Standard and Advanced drones at huge savings, each of which are now available at a $200 cost reduction.

We like the Phantom 3 Advanced best in terms of the right mix of features and capabilities for a great price. Here are links for buying these models direct from DJI, and ensuring you receive the savings:
